Money, money, money

Good news...we finally have our first bit of funding!!! We've been given a grant for £6,500! That should be enough to get some of the structural work on the building under way. Now we just need another £38,500 - keep praying!

Radio interview!!!

Yesterday we were sat in the office having quite a lazy afternoon due to the extreme heat. As i sat checking my emails the phone rang - it was one of the Ivel FM team! They had heard about the cafe project and are really keen to support us. They asked if they could do an interview and put it on the news in the next few days. So there and then, Jeff and I were interviewed over the phone. I hope it all sounded OK. The interview should go on air today (20th July) so keep your radio tuned to Ivel!!

Hello one and all...
It's been great to have so many people show an interest in the youth cafe project and so we thought it would be good to set up some way of keeping you all informed. We are working on setting up the official website but thought that it would be good to have a blog in the meantime so you can all hear our thoughts and news and share with us in the highs and lows of this adventure we are on.
So, how's it going so far? Well, after years of praying and looking for a building we finally have a place to call our own. St. Peter's Church have very kindly offered to let us refurnish their hall to use as a cafe!! We are so blessed by the support of the congregation there. It's great to see people who are so Kingdom minded that they are happy to support other churches in such a sacrificial way!
We are now in the process of applying for grants and writing to local businesses to get the finances we need to refurbish. Please pray for God to grant us favour with the people receiving these applications and pray for finance to be released at just the right time.
